Understand contract history and signing evidence

Scriboflow records important events throughout the contract and signing process so you can see what happened and when.

Events in the contract timeline

Depending on the contract's activity, its timeline can include:

• Contract creation and sending
• When a recipient first opens a signing request
• Signature events
• Requests for changes
• Rejection or voiding
• Completion of all required signatures

Records can include timestamps, actor or signer details, signature choices and IP information for important actions.

Review the history

Open a sent contract and review its timeline. The latest contract status and signer progress are shown with the recorded events.

For completed contracts, keep the signed agreement together with its visible contract history. These records help document the signing process, but the legal effect of a signature can depend on the agreement, the selected signature method and applicable law.

If an event looks unfamiliar, review organisation access and contact Scriboflow with the contract name, approximate time and event type. Do not send an active signing link.
