Remove a team member

Remove organisation access when a colleague no longer needs the workspace.

Last updated August 26, 2026

Organisation owners and administrators can remove a member who should no longer access the workspace. Review the person's responsibilities before removing them so ongoing contract work can be reassigned if needed.

Before removing access

Confirm that you are in the correct organisation and have selected the intended member. Check whether the person is involved in drafts, pending contracts or internal follow-up. Removing organisation membership is separate from changing parties and signees on contracts.

If the person only needs less administrative responsibility, ask an owner to change their role instead. Do not remove and reinvite them as a role-management workaround.

Remove the member

  1. Open Settings from the account menu.
  2. Select Organisation, then open Members.
  3. Find the member you want to remove.
  4. Select the available remove action.
  5. Review the name and email address, then confirm.

The person loses access to that organisation. Removing them does not delete the organisation's contracts or erase the historical activity already recorded on those contracts.

After removal

Review active contracts and assign any required internal follow-up to another team member. If the removed person is still a signee on a contract, handle that contract separately according to its current status; organisation membership and recipient access are different.

If you removed the wrong member or cannot complete the action, contact support with the organisation name, your account email, the affected member's email and the approximate time of the attempt. Do not include passwords or secure links.
