Troubleshoot team invitations and access
Resolve common invitation, account and organisation access problems safely.
Last updated August 26, 2026
Most team access problems come from using a different email address, an old invitation link or the wrong selected organisation. Start with these checks before changing membership.
Check the invited account
Confirm the exact address under Pending invites. The recipient must sign in or create an account with that address. If they are already signed into another Scriboflow account, they should sign out and reopen the latest invitation with the invited account.
Invitation links expire after seven days and can also stop working after they are revoked or used. An owner or administrator can select Resend to create a new link. The recipient should use only the newest email.
Check organisation membership
If the invitation was accepted, look for the person under Members rather than Pending invites. Ask them to open the organisation menu and select the expected workspace. Access to one organisation does not reveal content from another.
Members cannot manage organisation access. Owners manage roles, while owners and administrators manage invitations and member removal. If an expected action is missing, check the signed-in person's role instead of repeatedly resending invitations.
Contact support safely
If the issue continues, provide support with:
- The organisation name
- The invited and signed-in email addresses
- Whether the invitation appears pending or accepted
- The approximate time it was sent or resent
- The visible error message and browser used
Do not include passwords, one-time codes or an active invitation link. For missing emails specifically, see A sign-in or verification email has not arrived.
