Sending and signing
Choose a signature method
Select an electronic signature option that is available for your contract and recipients.

The signature method controls how a recipient confirms their signature. Choose from the methods shown for the contract; availability can depend on your Scriboflow setup or plan.
Review the available methods
Scriboflow can present options such as drawing a signature, typing a signature, confirming with a checkbox or signing with MitID. The exact choices available to you are the ones shown in the current signing settings.
Do not promise a recipient a method that does not appear in your contract. If your organisation requires a particular signing standard, confirm the available configuration before sending.
Choose for the agreement
Consider what your organisation requires and what the recipient can complete. A simple electronic confirmation and an identity-backed method provide different signing experiences. The appropriate choice depends on the agreement and your organisation's requirements; Scriboflow does not decide the legal suitability for you.
- Open the contract's signing settings.
- Review the available signature methods.
- Select the method required for this contract.
- Preview the recipient flow before sending.
Explain the recipient experience
The recipient opens the secure signing link and follows the steps for the selected method. They do not need a Scriboflow account. After signing, Scriboflow records the event in the contract history and includes signing evidence in the completed contract's signature certificate.
For the security controls and evidence Scriboflow currently documents, see Understand contract history and signing evidence. If multiple people must sign, continue with Set the signing order.
